If you’re like me and want to save on hotel accommodation in Toronto, Priceline is a good choice to consider. In preparation for an upcoming trip to Toronto, I used Priceline Canada for my hotel booking and saved over 64% over regular online travel sites (Expedia, etc), and even saved 22% compared to Hotwire rates. Ever wonder what hotels are on Priceline? These hotels are some of my favorite on Vancouver Island but you won’t find them on Priceline. Whenever I travel, I use Priceline first. I find that Priceline works best when you do not really care about the hotel you get other than the hotel class and vicinity. However, if you are picky about your hotel, here are five Vancouver Island hotels not on Priceline. It’s a little unfortunate because these are arguably some of the best hotels on the Island. (By the way, you won’t find them on Hotwire either).
I’m travelling to Fort Lauderdale and used Priceline to book my hotel stay. As a strong advocate of Priceline, I want to offer some insider tips on Fort Lauderdale Hotels on Priceline. Although Ft. Lauderdale is fairly large and has a total of 11 Priceline bidding zones, the vast majority of visitors to Fort Lauderdale stay in 1 of 3 areas: the airport, the beach, or Hollywood.
Fort Lauderdale Beach is a vacationer’s epicentre of the city. The bidding zone is a long narrow strip along the beach, and wonderful for vacationers. Note though that although the zone includes the word “beach”, not all properties are immediately on the beach. You could be across the street or a half block or so away. There are a couple of “Resorts” in this zone, which I will check out when I’m there, but presumably they are quite awesome. Slightly lower in the pecking order but still great are the 4-star hotels in the beach area. A word for the wise…

In the last few months, the Palazzo Hotel in Las Vegas has been coming up A LOT on Priceline. I saw this deal recently thanks to a Priceline forum member posting their Palazzo winning bid and I couldn’t resist. I actually booked a trip to Las Vegas, bid on a 5 star hotel, and snagged this gem. Given that this hotel has come up so much on Priceline recently, it seems that a blog post on this hotel is in order.
Getting The Palazzo Hotel On Priceline: The first thing anyone should know about 5-star hotels on Priceline is that the Palazzo is located in Priceline’s “Strip North” bidding zone. If you’re bidding on a 5-star hotel in this zone, you should be aware that there are other 5 star hotels that you could get.
San Francisco’s Union Square is one of the most popular tourist areas of San Francisco. If you’re looking to stay at a hotel in the Union Square area and will be bidding on a hotel via Priceline, here is some tips to help you identify your San Francisco hotel.
Priceline Bidding Zones in Union Square: The 2 “Union Square” bidding zones on Priceline are: Union Square East and Union Square West – Nob Hill. If you’re looking for a hotel in the area, I would also consider bidding in the SOMA – Moscone Center zone as well. It’s a bit further away but if you don’t mind a 5 minute walk to Union Square, you can find a really good deal.
Union Square East: This is the preferred bidding zone if you’re wanting to stay as close as possible to Union Square. Accessible from the San Francisco Airport via the BART (Powell Street Station), this area is really easy to get to by public transit. On the negative side, some of the hotels are located right on Powell Street, the main cable car line which can be noisy if you’re looking to sleep in. Hotels in this bidding zone that are known to be on Priceline, as reported by members of the Priceline Forum, include:
