This guide to Priceline Toronto will help you choose the best areas and get the best rate on your stay in Canada’s largest city.
Priceline Toronto Bidding Zones
The first thing you need to know about Priceline Toronto is that the area considered to be Toronto is vast, spanning all the way from Pickering to Burlington. So, when I say Toronto, I’m actually referring to the Greater Toronto Area which is massive. Note: for travellers who want free rebids, you can use this to your advantage: the more areas that do not have your hotel rating, the more free rebids you can do. If you’re not familiar with how to rebid for free, check out this article on Priceline rebidding.
For the vast majority of travellers, they are really only interested in these 4 bidding zones:
- Toronto Airport East – The vast majority of airport hotels are located in this zone, including some customer favorites: Renaissance, Sheraton Gteway, Mariott and Toronto.
- Toronto Airport West – A smaller bidding zone with very few hotels, nothing too remarkable. In fact there are no known 3 1/2 or 4 star hotels in this zone. Generally less desirable than Toronto Airport East zone.
- Downtown Toronto South and North – I like both downtown north and south zones, and both have great 4 star hotels that are worth checking bidding on. I don’t really think one area is better than the other, it really depends on where you want to be within the downtown area. Or if you’re like me, bid on both and see which zone has the cheapest hotel.
